The 49th Annual Convention of the Philippine Psychiatric Association (PPA) marks a historic event in the annals of the organization. For the first time, the PPA is hosting a convention in which all the speakers are based abroad. In fact, the speakers’ locations cover eight different time zones! It is also the first time since the lockdown started that we are conducting a hybrid convention with a face-to-face component. This alone is something to look forward to.
With the theme “Expanding the Clinical Perspective of the Psychiatrist: Learning from International Experts” we will learn about cutting edge research and up-to-date clinical experience from a diverse group of speakers, from the young and dynamic to the renowned and highly qualified individuals who are all experts in their fields; lecturing on a well-rounded list of topics from the basic and elemental to the profound and provocative. Thus, we are sure you will gain a lot of novel information from this convention.
As always we will have our business meeting, conferment ceremonies, case and research competitions; another round of Kapihan, and finally, in our Fellowship Night, another first time activity – the Kwentong PPA Part 2 which will showcase the dramatic acting talents of our members. Truly there is so much to look forward to in our Annual Convention.
